1. Understand the causes of the stock market crash and Great Depression.- over production due to people not having money to buy things, people where in debt, Stock market crash- people where getting loans and buying stock witch lead to the crash

4. Understand the causes, effects and major events of WWII. Attack on pearl harbor- japan bomb pearl harbor where the US base is so then the US would be out of the war before they join in. Cause- Hitler invaded Poland then later on France and Britain declared war on Germany starting world war 2. Effects- Killed many people that wasn't German
5. Understand how/why the Allies won WWII. They island hoped (took control of islands for there base to resupply) so they could be closer to Japan. produced more war goods, Hitlers mistakes he tried to take over parts of Russia during the winter.

Goals- Stop the spread of communism Events- bay of pigs- US thought there was nuclear weapons on Cuba so the US invaded to make sure they didn't so they wouldn't be able to nuke the US.causes- Soviet union got there hands on nuclear weapons effects- Berlin blockade- soviet union blocked Berlin so then they couldn't leave or come so they didn't have the necessities but the US flew in all the time to give them things. they would only let the blockade lift if the Allies would get out of the war.
7. Understand the causes, effects, and major events of the Korean Conflict. north invade south this is do to the north is controlled by USSR and the south is controlled by the US. It is because the USSR wants the south of Korea to be communists

Understand the causes, effects, and major events of the Vietnam Conflict. causes containment, major events escalation got involved slowly, the defensive offensive north put on south, pentagon papers came up. people tried to not get into the draft. effects we left went over war powers act, distrustful of the government Geneva Conference-

Understand the causes and effects of the Persian Gulf Wars, 9-11 and the War on Terror. 9-11 terrorists took control of US airplanes and ran them into the trade centers. left the world trade centers destroyed and much devastation to the US people. Persian Gulf Wars- War in Afghanistan- Started because 9/11 Obama wanted to focused on Afghanistan hope to be out there by 2016--- Went to Iraq because US though they had Nuclear weapons Bush was more involve Military
