I enjoyed taking this quiz. My results, which show I'm a democrat, are not at all surprising to me. I'm also very relieved that I'm not a republican (no offense to anyone). Some of the things I am definitely for are abortion, gay rights, making the rich pay more taxes, and heath care being available to everyone. I think abortion should be a choice of the mother. The child can't make the choice itself, and if all it's going to be is a burden or an unwanted object to the mother, why keep it? I know that might sound horrible, but it's what I feel. If we see something at the store we don't want, we don't buy it, right? Same thing with abortion. Leave the choice. If someone wants to do it, they should be able to. And you should be able not to, also. Gays and lesbians should be treated equal like all the rest. Sometimes on this subject I think "eww" but honestly, overall I believe in their rights. Just as different colors of skin or different religious beliefs, there is always going to be unkind words and actions against gays. I also believe the rich need to pay waaaaaay more taxes than the poor and middle class. This is obviously an opinion depending on your money situation. If the government wants their money, why don't they charge the ones who can afford more more, and the ones who can't afford much something they can say is reasonable? Not the other way around. If you expect someone with lots of money to pat their wallets and walk down the street happily and charge the world out of someone who can't even spare a dollar without the risk of living on the street, what is wrong with you?! Also, health care needs to be available to everyone. Why keep living if you know that if something happens to you that you won't get the coverage you need? Health care needs to be for EVERYONE and needs to be affordable! It's human cruelty to not pay attention to the heath needs someone need taken care of! I am definitely against raising the budget when we go to war. Not being able to pay off the dollar amounts that war causes is one of the reasons we're in debt, so why pile it on even more? There's so many other things we could wisely spend our money on! I hope no one, when it comes time for us to vote, ever picks someone because 'so-and-so are going to'. You need to know what you believe in and understand why you think what you're thinking before you choose.
