Little Rock 9
It was a case that went to court. They want to desegerate of races in school. Which they made agreement in court to do desegrate schools. School Board Little Rock agreed to this. It happened in 1957 at Little Rock Central High School. Their were a ton of protest in Little Rock High School. People physically blocked all of the doors so the black kids wouldn't get in. So the mayor of the city called President Eisenhouser to send federal troops down. September 9, they sent armed troops down to escort the kids just so they can enter the school. During the 9 students year at school. They phyically and verbally abused by the students. Even one girl got acid thrown in her eyes. So after these forms of abuse soldiers started taking them to class to class. These students lasted the whole year.
