Assigned Blog #5

For my assigned blog this week I watched the movie Pearl Harbor. I loved this movie! It was a romantic/sad movie.. This is probably the best world war 2 movie I watched!

Pearl harbor was about two life long friends, Danny and Rav, that became pilots for the US Army Air Corpse. Rav volunteered to fly eith the British Air Force before the Americans entered World War 2. Before leaving to fly with the British, he fell in love with an army nurse, Evelyn. While Rav was fighting with the British, Evelyn was transferred to Pearl Harbor as well as Danny. During a fire fight Rav's plane was hit and crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. Everyone assumed Rav died in the crash. Per Rav's personal request Danny went to Evelyn to tell her of his death. Danny and Evelyn did not take Rav's death well but after several months they knew that they had to move on and they found themselves spending more time together and eventually fell in love. Shortly before the attack on Pearl Harbor Rav returned and shocked everyone that he was alive.

As Danny, Evelyn, and Rav were sorting threw their relationships, the Japannese were planing a very surprising attack on Pearl Harbor against the US for placing an embargo on the US oil. The day that the Japannese bombed Pearl Harbor, Danny and Rav took upon themselves to fly a US plane to fight the Japannese. They were very successful in their attempt but however thousands of US lives were lost. Danny and Rav were chosen to be apart of a secret mission to retaliate against the Japannese. Before they left, Evelyn told Rav that she would loved him for the rest of her life but she thought he was dead and had fallen for Danny and that she was pregnant with Danny's child. She begged Rav not to tell Danny of her pregnancy so that he could concentrate on the mission without any distractions. During the mission Danny got shot. Rav told him that he has to live he is going to be a father and Danny replied "no, you are.." Danny died.. In the end, Rav and Evelyn raised little Danny together.
