My subject that I am going to talk about is the NIRA. It is the National Industrial Recovery Act. It allowed industries to create minimum wages and maximum weekly hours. In the 1930’s people were getting paid little money when they should be getting paid more. The act was divided into two main sections. Section one was devoted to the industrial recovery. It made fair competition and reduced monopolies. The second section established the Public Works Administration.
