Assigned Blog #2-Pearl Harbor

Two boys accidentally take off into their fathers airplane, the plane doesn't leave the ground, and they get off safe, but it implies that the two boys are ready to fly. One of the boys is invited to take part in the British army, then falls head over heels for a nurse. Most of the movie is just him trying to express his love for the nurse, then tell her he's going off to fight. The other parts of the movie explains how the other boy is moved to Pearl Harbor, with his FRIENDS girlfriend. They don't know that Japan is planning to bomb Pearl Harbor very soon. None of the soldiers in Pearl Harbor are worried because they believe they are safe and the Japanese aren't going to be capable of doing anything. Countries are still questioning if the U.S. is going to enter the war or not, also. Then the Rafe, one of the ignorant pilots is warned about about an oil leak and is told he should NOT take flight, but does anyways. While in the dog fights, his plane encounters an explosion due to the oil, and he crash-lands into the ocean.

While all of this goes down, there is a racial encounter on a naval ship, with a black cook who states he deserves to fight in the war, in order to get his respect. Since blacks were not allowed to fight, the cook says they are all stupid, and need this help. Because he is the best soldier on the ship, and they don't know that. Then it skips to the military giving Rafe's partner the news about his crash, resulting in everyone to believe he is dead. WHICH HE IS NOT! So, the nurse ends up falling in love with Rafe's friend Danny, and then....RAFE COMES BACK!!! *DUN DUN DUNN* Which causes the friends to fight, and argue, leading to the end of their friendship...for now. Because after they argue, then go to bed, they wake up to the Japanese BOMBING PEARL HARBOR. This catastrophic event causes them to put aside their differences and join together in order to survive and overcome the bombing. They need to put aside their differences, because they are asked to go on a missions, together as a team, to attack the enemy. They didn't have enough fuel, so they had to find land and are infiltrated by Japanese soldiers. Danny sacrifices himself for Rafe, so he could go home and be with the Nurse.

Rafe is given a medal by President Roosevelt, then him and Evelyn are discharged from the Army. Rafe and Evelyn get married and have kids. Then Rafe asks his son Danny if he wants to go flying then they fly off into the sunset.

THE END.
