Political Spectrum Quiz
Taking this quiz didn't really bother me because I wasn't sure what I was when in came to being a Democrat or a Republican. I found out that I was Democrat and it doesn't really surprise me because I was clueless on what I was before I took this quiz.
One of the issues that really stuck out to me was abortion. I used to think that abortion was completely wrong and shouldn't be allowed because it's kind of like murder. I got to thinking about it and put myself in a situation where if I was pregnant at this age, which does happen to people, would i want to keep that baby and live with those responsibilities for the rest of my life. I still wasn't sure what I would do, but some people have the right if they know they can't handle the tasks of being a mother that they shouldn't have to make themselves or their child suffer from it. So, this situation could go both ways, well in my opinion anyway.
Another topic was the right to gay marriage. Gay marriage really doesn't bother me, if you're with someone that you really love it shouldn't matter what gender they are. You can't really help how you feel toward someone and it's just kind of the way it is so I don't see why we would keep two people away from each other. The only really difference is the label, instead of just being a couple they would be a married couple.
Immigrants was another topic that I noticed that was on the quiz. One question was whether one language should be set and the immigrants would have to learn it. I feel that one set language would be a lot easier to work with, but then everyone who didn't speak that language would have to learn it and that would take some major time.
I think taking this quiz has broadened the knowledge of what we know about the issues of Democrats and Republicans.
