Saving Private Ryan

At the beginning of this movie it shows an old man walking through a military cemetery, the man, we later find out that the man is Private Ryan. The movie then goes back to a raid on Omaha Beach during World War II, at Omaha Beach we meet one of the main characters, John Miller. John Miller is a school teacher from Pennsylvania, he teaches english composition and has a wife, John is also the baseball coach for the High School he teaches at. Eventually they show the office where they send out letters to the dead soldier's family. At the office they encounter a problem, One of the ladies comes across something that surprises her. She comes across a common name, Ryan, there was three letters sent home to the same mother, all of them were brothers. They take this to the chief of staff, the chief knows that there is one more brother that is still at war. When the chief discovers that he sends Captain John Miller and a group of six or seven soldiers to go find Private James Francis Ryan from Iowa. On their way to save Private Ryan they encounter man named James Francis Ryan, but this Private Ryan was from Minnesota. They continue their journey losing a couple of men on the way and even getting into some minor battles. Eventually they lie down in a meadow to compose a surprise attack on a tank driving by the area. After they blow up the tank they begin to continue their walk to Ramelle where Private James Francis Ryan from Iowa is supposedly at. As they begin to leave they are surprised by three American soldiers, including Private Ryan from Iowa. They meet up with Ryan and the other soldiers and follow them to Ramelle. When they arrive at Ramelle Captain Miller breaks the news to Private Ryan. Ryan refuses to go home and demands that he will stay and fight the last battle. Miller allows Ryan to fight but says he must stay next to him the whole time. At the end of the battle the U.S had lost most of their platoon and Ryan and Miller were laying by each other when Miller is killed. At the end of the movie it shows the old Ryan at the Cemetery solute the tombstone of Captain John Miller, the heroic school teacher from Pennsylvania.
