On my dads moms side of the family my great great grandmother originated from Ireland and then came to the United States. While my great great grandpa was from Denmark who also came to the United States where he met my great great grandmother. They moved to the Harlan area and raised a family. On my dads dads side of the family they originated from Germany, they then came to the United States and settled in Iowa to become farmers. My great grandpa ran the farm after his dad and it passed on down to my dad for a few generations.
On my moms side of the family her great grandpa came from Sweden to be a rancher. He first lived in Missouri and then moved to Iowa. On her mothers side, which would be my great great grandma was 50% Indian.
