On my dad’s side there is some things that we know but on my mom’s side we do not know anything because she was adopted. All we know is that my great great grandpa Wiegert came to America after World War 1. He came from Germany for a better life than it was there he settled in Twin Lakes Iowa.
There are many stories about my family that are interesting. Like how my uncle Pauly lost half of his fingers on his right hand will he was doing his chores around the farm. He lost his fingers by putting them in a conveyor belt on accident this was when he was 12. My dad at age 12 had to carry his fingers up to the road where his mom was waiting. Another interesting story is when my grandpa got hit in the head with a piece of angle iron while driving a forklift at work at Omaha Paper Company. Now he has a plastic plate in his fore head and his right eye doesn’t close or blink. Like all the others my grandma has something wrong with her too. Her middle finger on right hand is missing do to canner when she was 7 years old. There is many thing that has happened to are family.
All of our ancestors came from Germany, Norway, and Sweden. But none of are alive family members kept track of all who came from those places. Most to all of our family members have something wrong with them that is what makes us one of a kind.
