Pacific Front
What i find interesting in my research of the Pacific Front was that i looked back on when the U.S. performed their first nuclear attack ever on the Jap's city of Hiroshima the second and last drop was on Nagasaki, that was the last drop in August 9, 1945. Right after the bombings stopped the Soviet Union planned an invasion on Hokkaido, or a blockade and bombing campaign. So they caused more damaged for the Japs and higher casualties because of the nuclear bombing already knocked more than 240,000 Japs out of the way and here comes the Soviet Union digging them a bigger whole killing more people. But that wasn't the end of the Soviets just yet. From February 3, 1945 the Soviets agreed with Roosevelt to enter the Pacific conflict which was planned 90 days after the war ended in Europe and it started exactly on August 9, by invading Manchuria. Manchuria was a part of Asia that was already invaded by Japs so they happen to be there wheeenn, one million-strong Soviet force was tranferred from Europe to Manchuria. Soviets attacked Jap's forces in Manchuria and quickly defeated the Japanese Kantogun (Kwantung Army group). The Japs got shut down and they surrendered themselves and their weapons to the Soviets.

The Surrender
On August 10, the "sacred decision" was made by Jap Cabinet to accept Potsdam's terms on one condition: the "prerogative of His Majesty as a Sovereign Ruler". At noon on August 15, the American government stated that the emperor "shall be subject to the Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers". They made the "Emperor of Jap" broadcast to the nation and to the world at large the rescript of surrender, ending the Second World War.
"Should We continue to fight, it would not only result in an ultimate collapse and obliteration of the Japanese nation, but also it would lead to the total extinction of human civilization".
-Emperor Hirohito.
So they all finally surredered on August 15, Hirohito gave a surrender speech to the world
