Monday- No school Easter Break
Tuesday-
- There is a trial that is going on for a brother that way involved with the Boston Bombing,
- Aaron Hernandez's trial has reached the end and now it's too the jury ... If he is said not-guilty, he has 2 other trials for murder.
An agreement has been struck with Iran in it's nuclear programs. They have to reduce their centrifuges (from 19,000 to 6,000). It would right now take Iran to make a nuclear bomb in about 2-3 months, but with the new agreements it will take them several years to construct in which we would notice by then.
Women's Rights Notes
- Women are usually considered 2nd class citizens
- There are a lot of women in India who are raped
- Girl with an extra year of education, they can earn 20% more as an adult
- Educated mothers are more likely to send their children to school
- If India would enroll just 1% of girls in education, their GDP would increase by 5.5 billion dollars
- A child born to a literate mother, is 50% more likely to survive past the age of 5
- Globally, 66 million school-aged girls are not in school
- Sub-Sahara Africa, there are going to school for about 2 years (Literacy rate is less than 98% for girls)
- Many families can't afford to have all kids go to school, so all the girls don't get to go
