Joseph Stalin
- Lenin suffered a stroke in 1922 and died
- By the time Lenin died, he did not like Stalin
- After Lenin dided, there was a power struggle to see who would take over
- Stalin won and was in power by the late 1920's

- Russia drops out of World War Two (1917) to fight Bolshevik Revolution
- Russia became communist and changed name to USSR in 1922
- Purges and deportations to slave labor camps in Siberia
