  • Royal Air Force - the British Air force was what saved Britain
  • Air Raids during the Blitz - In London, they would all hide underground/basements/etc.
    • Results, Britain won by the fact that Germany did not achieve their goals to destroy GB (they lost a lot of planes, never invaded, and lost a lot of men)
      • They lost a lot of planes, so they began bombing at night
    • Germany changed their focus to underwater attacks
  • Operation Barbarossa
    • Largest military operation in history
    • Leningrad, Stalingrad, and Moscow
      • Wanted those 3 cities
  • Battle of Moscow
    • December 6th,, 1941 - April 30th, 1942
    • Rissian winter sets in which makes an extreme turning point in the war
  • Seige of Leningrad
    • November 1941 - October 1942
    • Took over Leningrad and staved people
    • 641,000 killed because of starvation
    • Germany never took the city, but it was one of the most costly conflicts Russian have ever faced (over 1 million died)

        • Established Jews: Had 3 or 4 grandparents that are Jewish, you considered yourself Jewish, and with 1 or 2 grandparents are considered a mixed race
        • No sexual relationships between non-Jewish Germans and Jews
      • 1936 - Nazis boycott Jewish-owned businesses
      • Kristallnacht 1938 - 91 Jews killed, November 9/10th, the Nazis roamed through Jewish neighborhoods breaking windows of homes and businesses, etc.

        • All Jewish children expelled from public schools in Germany and Austria
        • Nazis take control of Jewish-owned businesses
      • Hitler's Final Solution

        • 1939 - Hitler orders the systematic murder of the mentally and physically disabled in Germany and Austria
