Monday- Korean Conflict: The Forgotten War. 1950-1953. It was a back and forth war. North Korea made the first push. Us joins pushing them back. China pushes us back to the 38th parallel. We left allowing North Korea to invade south. Was backed by USSR and China. 

Tuesday- Continued Videos. Korean Nuclear manufacturing. North Korea talks tough. 

Vietnam: 1950-1975. Ho chi minh. Geneva Conference. Escalation. Viet Cong. Guerrilla Warfare. Gulf of Tonkin Resolution. President Lyndon Johnson. General William Westmoreland. Tet Offensive. Pentagon Papers. Operation Rolling Thunder. Ho chi minh trail. Agent Orange. Napalm. My Lai Massacre. Vietnam War Protesters. Kent St. University Massacre. President Richard Nixon. Vietnamization. Paris Peace Accords. 

Wednesday- Continued Vietnam. The United States, ARVN vs. The NLF(Vietcong), PAVN. Started small then escalated. President Truman began US involvement by sending money to help the french. President Eisenhower continued US support by sending military advisers to give temporary support to Diem's government. Kennedy continued sending advisers as well as special operation forces. Johnson sent more and more combat forces. American ship was attacked by North Vietnamese torpedoes was gulf of tonkin. US mislead public with the pentagon papers. Plumbers were supposed to stop leaks to the press. Rolling thunder was a bombing raid on North Vietnam.

Thursday- My Lai Massacre, 1968. Us soldiers killed 504 Vietnamese civilians. The dead civilians included fifty age 3 or younger, 69 between 4 and 7. and 27 in their 70's and 80's. Deferment-Went to Canada or other countries. Went to college. Got Married. Medically unfit for service. Join National Guard, Coast Guard or Peace Corps. Claimed to be Homosexual. Got into legal trouble. Being rich. Nixon and Vietnam. Nixon called for the Vietnamization of the war. Peace with honor. Gradually pull US troops out and train the ARVN to take our place in fighting the North. Expanded the war into Laos and Cambodia leading to college protest.The Paris Peace Acccords were later signed on January of 1973. which officially ended us involvement in the Vietnam conflict. Fighting Stopped. US would pull out. North and South Vietnam would recognize each other's independence.
