Today we did an activity that would help us prepare for ITEDS. This took pretty much the whole class period. Sam and Alex did get a few minutes in to get started on finishing their project on the Pacific Front.
Pacific Front
-major Allied generals:U.S.-Chester Nimitz and Douglas MacArthur, GB-Archibald Wavell, Chen Cheng-China.
-major Axis powers generals were Hideki Tojo-Japan.
-The military strategy for Japan was they didn't fight above ground.
- They called back for no survivors and they had to kill at least 10 Americans before they died.
-The comacozy was part of the Japanese airforce, they would purposely fly their planes into US ships.
-The US focused on island hopping, they wanted to get to Japan as fast as they could then they would launch an air attack,
-they fought with submarines.
-If they needed to eventually they were going to invade Japan.
-most famous battles were Pearl Harbor, Iwo Jima, Battle of Midway, and The Philippines.
