Today we are starting our presentation. My blog for this week is Eisenhower’s background. Next we went over the semester tests. You get to have two or three of us and he gives you six or seven question. Your group gets to do a decade thing like I love the 80s.The Home FrontWhat people did in the U.S. to help win the war?American prop goals were to make the Germans look like animals and make people hate them.Rationing- giving people less stuff so there would be the war bonds. They also had a ration on rubber. Most of the toys were made of metal because they had to cut back on rubber.War bonds were how the U.S. paid for the war. They would sell them and then spend the money on the war. They said that they were the best thing on earth to have. If you bought them you could get interest back on them.Effects it had on women. There were no painting jobs so they were glad they got fired so that they could get another one. Low benefits and low income and also had lower quality facilities. They also had nowhere to take there children.Rosie the Riveter was an icon for women. They didn’t want to work because they thought they wouldn’t look like a women.Music- Rosie the RiveterJobs- Factories, military bases, offices, and the best was the journalist.ChildrenSome of them had a hard time dealing with the whole if my dad would come back or not.They also would have to go to a day care with tons of children packed into a little and crappie facilities.
