The war started in October with a British and U.S airstrike. the air strikes finally stopped in mid November. The U.S military and their allies but it was very hard to just kill off all of the terrorists. Many of the terrorists would hide out. in 2012 obama pulled out 30,000 troops. We responded to 9/11. we killed their leader Bin Laden like we said we would. As long as there are people in this world there will be terrorists and we can't help that. thecost was about 6 trillion dollars tens of thousands have been killed in the war. I think that we were over there to long costed to much money.
