Germany lost a lot of land, after WWI to France, also lost over seas colonies. Germany then invades all lots land in WWII, It drove Hitler to get the land back that is what started WWII. Germany had to return land to Russia after WWI was over.

France Dismantles Germany's military to 100,000 men, few tanks, no submarines, then Germany trained 100k men, then released them then they would train 100k more to have men trained on the ready. They also trained pilots and troops in other countries.

Germany had to pay 33 billion to allies (GB/France), German money became worthless, also forbidden to unite with Austria to form big superstate. Allowed Hitler and Nazi's come to power.

Germany had to admit full responsibility for starting the war. Germany had to pay for war preperations to GB and France. A league of nations was set up to keep world peace.

League Of Nations:

What is it?

What were it's weaknesses?

Failed at keeping peace in the world, Germany, Japan and others were taking over countries and were not stopped

4 Power Pact:

Treaty signed by US, GB, France, and Japan at the Washington Naval Conference in 1921.

Countries agreed to respect each others possessions in the Pacific and not seek further territory

5 Power Pact:

Signed by GB, US, France, Japan, and Italy.

Designed to prevent arm's race.

Limited the construction of battleships, battle cruisers and aircraft carriers.

9 Power Pact:

Guaranteed Chinese independence and upheld the Open Door Policy.
Signed by US, Japan, GB, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, and Portugal.

Kellogg-Briand Pact:

Countries that signed agreed to not go to war to settle disputes.

65 countries eventually signed it including US and Japan.

London Naval Conference- 1931

Concerned with agreements reached in WNC.

Closed the loopholes that were being used in WN Conference. Limited plane making and submarine making etc..
