So today Mr.Bruns wasn't here. It was another research day. I worked on my slideshow. I got a lot done in class and I learned that the immigrants came over because we had more technology. When the immigrants came we taught them our language and etiqite and stuff like that. After the immigrants were settled we got a farming technology boom. The farmers had plows and they didnt need to hire as many workers so most of the immigrants moved. I also learned that there were transportation systems called transit systems and they were pretty much like busses that took people to thier jobs. There was a lot of crime in New York because of the increased population. They didnt really have police officers so the crime continued. There was a lot of fires because of earthquakes. When the earthquakes came they knocked over candles and kerosene lamps and that started fires.
