Today in class we continued our Republican and Democrat debate. In class we hit the topics of Environmental Laws, formative laws, immigration, and minimum wage. The republicans views on the environmental laws is that businesses are more important. I think that is so wrong because if the environment is gone there is nothing for the businesses. Democrats are tree huggers and care for the planet. I am defiantly for that.Aformative action laws the democrats are for and the republicans are for too so you cant really take a side on this issue:). The next issue is immigration. Republicans think there should be no immigrants in the US which i disagree with as a Democrat. We believe that the ones that are already here are here and we shouldnt be able to do anything about it. They work for their money and its fair game. The last topic is minimum wage. Of course they have to take different sides the Democrats are wanting it raised and the Republicans dont. I want it raised because most people work for there money and only get paid minimum wage which isnt right. Thats the sum up of what i learned today in the best class of CWI!!!!
