Today Mr. Bruns talked about our assigned blogs and what we were supposed to work on today. Today we are supposed to Identify at least 4-6 main ideas in your section and blog what they are today.In my section they talked about the age of the railroads. They had to come up with the 24 time zones because people traveling from like Maine to california would reset their watches 20 times.They also talk aboiut eh first Trans Continental railroad. It was marked by a golden spike. The union pacific railroad was linked with the Utah railroad. New towns and markets were also created.Farmers were upset because they were misusing the government land grants and charging different customers with different rates. They asked more for short hauls because there wasnt any alternative carriers
