Today In CWI I looked over my research again, making sure I had everything in order to debate. I was worried about defining the affirmative action laws that are now in place, because when I did the bulk of my research, It actually confused me. Maybe it was the fact that I was already tired when I looked it up, but I wanted to look over it again nonetheless.Basically, its the idea that minorites should be given an extra "leg up" in the work place because of what they've had to rise above. I personally think that its...rediculous. If I were to blame everything on my past, and not try because of it....I'd be a far differant person. I believe you rise above the circumstances that you are given....to demand things because life has been difficult is, frankly, stupid.
