Today is Thursday, and is Jordan Fitzmaurice's birthday!!The difference between Taliban and Al-Queda, is the Taliban is a world wide terrorist group or network and is based in Afghanistan. Al-Queda is a terrorist organization. Al-Queda attacked the world trade center in 1992. They injured many people but only ended up killing six. Osama Bin Laden is the main leader of Al-Queda.Who are Taliban, original government for Afghanistan. Today they are joining in with Al-Queda and are becoming terrorists groups. Women's laws were very strick. Taliban let Al-Queda into the government.Why did we go to war in Afghanistan, to get revenge and look for Osama. We invaded Afghanistan on October 7th, 2001. We went to war in Afghanistan in result to 9/11. The current status is that we are requesting more troops over seas. 62,000 troops from the U.S are in Afghanistan and surrounding countries fighting. In 2004 the first democratic leader was elected. The enemy is just now starting to have a resurgence.
