Today in class we continued our discussions. We talked about Al-Qaeda. Al-Qaeda is an international terrorist network. Osama bin Laden is the leader of this group. It was created in 1988. Al-Qaeda doesn't like the US because they think we are trying to make the middle-east like the United States in our religion and our customs. They are responsible for the 9/11 attacks in the US. Right after the attacks their numbers went down. Now though, their numbers are going back up. They have members all over the world. This was my topic so i didn't exactly learn much more today than I already knew.Mr. Bruns also told us about what our next big project is. I have to read chapter 8, section 2. Its over Expanding Public Education. We have to read the section then do a powerpoint or zoho or something over our topic.
