Today we had blog discussion. We mostly talked about 9-11 today. I did my blog over rescue efforts and rebuilding but I learned from other people's blogs that Al Queida hijackers took control of four planes and crashed two of them into the World Trade Center, one of them into the Pentagon, and one of them crashed into a field in Pennsylvania because the passengers tried to get control of the plane back. I learned that there were no survivors of the people that were on the four planes. About 3,000 people died that day, but Mr. Bruns thinks that number is a lot less than how many you would think would die in a disaster like that. I agree. With all the people that were in those buildings, in the planes, or anywhere near the Twin Towers when they crashed you would think the death toll would be in the 10 thousands.Drea also talked about some of the conspiracy theories that surrounded the events that happened that day. She said that some people thought that our government knew this was going to happen but didn't do anything about it because it would launch the war in Afganistan. I don't think this is true. I don't think Bush would let all those people die just so he could go to war. Also some people thought that the buildings collapsed because bombs were placed throughout the buildings. That seems pretty unlikely too.
