Battle Presentations
Battle Creek - US military vs. South Cheyenne tribe. US military won, South Cheyenne tribe tried to surrender, but the US military just kept killing off their people. John Chivington was US cavalry leader. Black Kettle was the Southern Cheyenne leader.
Red River War - The Americans made promises that they broke so the Natives decided that they they would fight or they would starve to death because the Americans kept taking their food. The US Army won the war/battle.

Battle of Little Big Horn - June 25-26. Native American victory where Custer's troops were killed very quickly by Natives. Lakota, Sioux, and Cheyenne warriors vs. the US cavalry. Huge victory for the Native Americans because they killed over 200 US soldiers were killed.
Battle of Wounded Knee - Battle between US soldiers and the Sioux Indians. US military won because they were overpowering to the Native Americans. 500 Americans to 350 Indians. US had better weapons too. 146 Sioux died, 25 men from the cavalry died.

Granger Laws - Series of state laws passed in Midwestern States. Designed to fight back against railroad abuses. Wanted railroads and grain elevators to charge fair prices
Interstate Commerce Act - Allowed US government to supervise railroads. Required railroad rates to be fair. Set up an interstate commerce commission to carry out the law. Failed to help farmers at first.
