Monday- Trump puts new travel bans on, not only some in the Middle East, now it includes Venezuela. The old one expired today, and they put this new one in today. There's 8 countries included in it.
Tuesday- People are criticizing Trump for being critical of the NFL and supportive of NASCAR, they called him racist. They are also mad at him for not saying anything about Puerto Rico.
Equifax CEO stepped down recently, after over half of the country's (143 million people) information was exposed and leaked. They are very mad, so the leader of the company was being a little baby and could't handle the pressure so he stepped down.
Thursday- Puerto Rico is having a hard time getting supplies to everyone, they have all the needs at their ports, they just don't have enough fuel to distribute it.
Good health and well-being- By 2030 end AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, tropical diseases, by 2020 half as many traffic deaths will occur. Children born into poverty are 2 times more likely to die than those in a wealthy family. 17,000 fewer children die than in 19190, measles vaccines have eliminated a lot of deaths
Gender Equality- It's a problem because of discrimination in; jobs, schools, abuse, and smaller pay. 3 different view points- women are superior, men are superior, and they are equal. Women get paid less~worldwide. ⅔ African American women are jobless, ⅓ women have been physically/sexually assaulted in their lives. Solutions: Inform women and men (especially in developing countries), empowerment, laws against violence and child marriage, women’s quota~regulates how many women work in an area, and access to education. 130 million girls don’t go to school worldwide & 15 million won’t ever step foot in a school.
Friday- Decent work and economic growth- Jobs cannot guarantee that you get out of poverty. Many people think that this doesn’t affect them, society benefits more when people contribute to the country. A lot of people are unemployed because they don’t have the proper education to get a job. Decent jobs can provide social protection- insurance, subsidies, etc. Unequal pay makes it hard for single women to live. Half the world lives on $2 USD a day, 204 million unemployed, 470 million jobs are needed to get our economy stable.
Affordable and Clean energy- Energy is expensive in lower income country, it isn’t always accessible, there aren't companies in 3rd world countries to install it, children in extreme heat areas without electricity have no way of being held back from heat exhaustion. ⅕ people don't have access to modern electricity, 3 billion people rely on wood, coal, charcoal, or animal waste for cooking and heating. 1 billion of people don't have access to clean energy, 3 billion people don't have clean cooking. US is #1 for nuclear energy.
