As the Granger Laws were on their way out. A new federal law was made to help the government in monitoring the railroads. They required railroads to have fair and just rates. It failed to help farmers at first. The government is starting to force business owners to learn to respect their workers. The Populist Movement- Omaha Platform was a political party and even some people would run for president. A majority of the people were farmers and workers. Another name for the party would be the people party.
