His headmaster at Choate did say though, "When he flashed his smile, he could charm a bird of a tree."In 1935 JKF graduated from Choate ranked 64th in his class. While at Choate JFK had been frequently ill. He decided to attend Princeton instead of following in his fathers footsteps in going to Harvard. Princetion didn't last long, during his freshman year he got sick again. After taking time off from school JFK decided to attend Harvard afterall. While at Harvard JFK preferred to focuss on athletics and his socail life. He played football his sophmore year and was on the JV team. He got hurt though and stopped playing. In 1938 JFK used his fathers resources and arranged a trip for himself around the world. He was taking this trip during WWll. While he was in Czechoslovakia the Nazi's started to invade. He used his fathers connections to stay in ambassadors' homes for most of his trip. His trip lasted seven months. In 1940 JFK started his senior year at Harvard. Because of everything happening overseas JFK started getting into politics more. After graduating from Harvard JFK attended Stanford Business School for awhile. In 1940 he registered for the draft, his number was called but he was defered beacause he was a student.
