..First we talked about Republicans view on immigration. Republicans are against it. They want to know the identity of everyone who enters and exits our country. Democrats are more lenient on immigrants because our ancestors were all immigrants once and we wounldnt be here if they wouldnt have let us come. I'm against immigration personally. Some people want them to not come over at all. Part of the reason they dont want foreigners coming in is because they dont speak english...Minimum wage was the next topic. Republicans arent really sure what to do about it but most people think there should be a set minimum wage. I think there should be too so that no one gets paid a lot less than anyone else. A lot of people in our class think that way...Health care was the next topic. Republicans are against it. Democrats are for it. I think everyone needs health care.Democrats want a break from taxes of middle class and rich should pay more. Republicans want rich to pay less so they can use the extra money to invest in businesses and help the economy. Trickle down theory. We had a great debate today..
