Wednesday we listened to people discuss their eighth grade topics. We got to Articles of Confederation, the U.S. Constitution, and Washington Presidency. The first ten Articles of Confederation were called the Bill of Rights. With the Articles of Confederation it gave the states more power over the government. Because of that we started the U.S. Constitution instead, therefore the government has more power over the states. The Constitution protects our rights and is basically is the guidlines of how our government is run. When Washington was president there was one main thing he wanted to prove, that a democracy would work. Everyone thought that it would fall apart and they could take over. Washingtion proved them wrong.
