Marshall Plan. European Recovery program. Created a stronger economic foundation. THe truman administration wanted to help. George marshall addresssed this at Harvard. It was more of a proposal to Eurpe.
George Marshall. Former general of the US army. Secretary of state. Wont the nobel peace prize in 1953 for the marshall plan.
Truman Doctrine.
US strategy for the containment. The long telegram was how the soviests would respond. US set up long term strategy. First step in the process.
NATO-north atlantic treatie organization.
SOme countries feared about the doctrine. With the concern, truman apssed the bill. Then he showed us a picture of persident truman.
