4. How did this leader change their country(for the better and worse) prior to WWII?
-Hirohito was their leader during WWII
5. What were the goals of the leader?
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years(1919-1938)?
-Japan wanted to expand their territories to mainland Asia(China and Manchuria)
-they wanted more natural resources
-the tortured pows so they could make people scared
-Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because they wanted to destroy the US pacific fleet, so maybe America would then back out of the war because the US wouldn't think that it was worth it
