1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them?
signed on 28 June 1919
Great Britain felt it should only be an area where any military equipment or soldiers are banned

2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years(1919-1938)?
The same they have had for 300 years, a constitutional monarchy

3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power?
Neville Chamberlain was Prime Minister for the beginning of the war, the resigned, giving power to Winston Churchill

4. How did this leader change their country(for the better and worse) prior to WWII?
Neville Chamberlain abolished the Poor Law and reorganized unemployment assistance.

5. What were the goals of the leader?
Seeking to appease Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini. He also tried to persuade Italy not to invade Euthopia.

6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years(1919-1938)?

Britain's navy guaranteed allied access to the world's oceans


7. What role did they play in WWII?

Great Britain stood alone against Germany until the USSR and U.S. were brought into the war.


8. Who were their allies in WWII?

USA, Soviet Union, and France were the main ones

Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia were others.


9. How did WWII impact/effect the country?

Britain was bombed many times and put into debt by other countries. Normal People were in a lot of fear, and had to live with the fact that they might be bombed at anytime.
