I picked the Spanish-American War, which according to Bruns, this is the best. It is the largest not-for-profit community service organizations in the United States. The YMCA united 21 million children and adults of all races, ages, and backgrounds.Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is proudly famous for its help with the poor and needy. Their social work is religiou activity. By believing that everyone has a right to the basic necessities of life. Which include: food, clothing shelter, education, health care, safe environment, economic security, productive work, just wages and benefits, decent working conditions. There are over 300 Junior and Senior Youth Clubs around US run by the salvation army. Some activities and services provided by the salvation army include: work with the elderly, work with the disabled, prison work, disaster and emergency work and more.Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter in CanadaCalgary is the largest city in the Province of Alberta, Canada. CWES was established in 1974. 2009 was the shelters 35 year of helping people of Calgary to lives free of domestic abuse. This is a not-for-profit organization in Canada that happened to be one of the firsts.Mercy Home for Boys and Girls in Chicago.Founded by a Chicago police in 1887a privately funded childcarehome for abused, homeless and neglected childrenMISSIONTo help kids clear their pasts they are placed in schools and partnered with mentors who provide care, theropy and guidence. The mercy home provided social services.
