On October 14th, an American spy plane took pictures of missile bases under construction. Crisis ended when Kennedy agreed with the Soviets to dismantle the weapons in Cuba, we would never invade Cuba, and we would take our missiles out of Turkey.
Fidel Castro
He entered law school and became very interested in politics. He refused to find work and had other people pay for his bills. Castro used underground guerrilla tactics. Castro's army defeated Batista in Operation Verano. Then Castro became the new leader of Cuba. Castro became the prime minister in 1959.
