Today Zach H and Tara B were supposed to finish up but ONCE AGAIN they did not have their project and Tara B is not here. Courtney and Kayley were supposed to go today but go figure they are not done… WOW… SO that means that the one and only Mr. Bruns continued his PowerPoint or Mop up Operations that he does at the end of any project that we do in this class. --- African Americans would not fight with White Americans in WW II and Asian Americans were not allowed to fight against Japan and they were also forced into camps. Hollywood played a major role in WWII. They were used a propaganda. They were depicting the Axis powers and terrible people and that made people want to help out the war causes. Bob Hope was a comedian who died in 2004. He introduced the #1 Collage football team. He worked with the USO and it was an organization who tried to entertain soldiers that were stationed in other countries. He took all his time to make the soldiers feel better. John Wayne became famous in WWII movies. OPA is the Office of Price Administration. This made food rationing things and rations just about EVERYTHING after WWII started. The Battle of Midway caused there to become a gas ration. There were A, B, C, and T stickers. These were really important because they limited gas amounts per week to which sticker you have. The War Production Board was dealing with production. The National Labor Board worked with Labor and Management. Together We Win was the big saying for it.

---Germany depended on the submarine, or U-Boat. The US found ways to combat U-Boats was to intercept messages and figure out where the U-boats are. The Convoy System was used to make the German U-Boats feel overwhelmed. Germany combated the Convoy system with a wolf pack or group of U-boats. So it was large numbers of German U-boats and Allied Ships. Allied Intelligence was between Churchill and Roosevelt. Huff duff was used to intercept radio frequency. Depth Charges were used to destroy submarines. It was very scary if you were in the submarines when these depth charges went off. Operation Barbarosa was when Germany invaded Russia. Notes over it:
The main front expanded to 1490 miles and extended to a depth of over 600 miles. By the end of 1941 the Soviet Union lost 3.5 million soldiers were captured and over 4 million were killed.
The German Military was split into three. Army group North, Army group Centre and Army group South. North was going for Leningrad. Centre was going for Moscow. South was going Rostov, The Caucasus Mountains, The Crimean Peninsula, and Stalingrad.
