D-Day invasion was practiced, Attacking against the Atlantic wall,landing on Omaha beach was deemed Operation Neptune, the entireoperation was called Operation Overlord, the invasion consisted of paratrooper and air strikes as well as the beach strike, invasion was postponed a few days due to weather, though during the attack, air support was limited due to the weather, first wave of the assault was basically wiped out,

Allys had MAGIC and ULTRA as well as Navajo code talkers,so codes could be broken and ours weren't, we had more people and resources, as well as having the atomic bombs, also had more of an aggressive strategy,
