Today Nick and I did our presentation. We did not do very well today. Go figure. Mr. Bruns also started his “Mop up Operations” over these presentations.
Selective Training and Service Act of 1940:
This was the first peacetime draft in Us History. Used up until 1973 to fulfill military needs and after 1973, US military depended on volunteers. GeorgeC. Marshall was the Chief of Staff of the USmilitary during WW II. He is most famousfor the Marshall Plan which gave millions of dollars to European Countries forwar reparations.
Women in WWII:
Nursing was the main thing women could do to help in WWII. The more women who work the sooner the US will winwere a war thing to convince women to work in the US. Women deserve a good remark because they helpedthe US winWWII. The Women’s Army Core was militarytype jobs for Women. Jobs that needed tobe done because the men were off fighting in the war.
