Today we had an ITED review. We did this orally. We also continued Erin and Jenna’s presentation. Since they did not get very far yesterday, here is what there project information:

Leaders and Generals in the African Front:

Erwin Rommel was a German leader; he was one of the top generals from Germany. His nickname was the Desert Fox. He did not torture any POW’s. He ended up being one of the conspirators and got caught. He killed himself to be one of the more famous German Generals.

William Gott was a British General.

Bernard Montgomery was the main British General and our greatest ally in this part of the war

Dwight Eisenhower was a General in WW II from the US. He was the supreme US General allied leader. He one of the main allied Generals in WW II.

Rodolfo Graziani was an Axis General from Italy.

Claude Auchinleck was a British General, not as big as Montgomery.

Marie- Pierre Koenig was a Free French Underground leader. He wanted to free France from German control.

Harold Alexander was a British General.

Mark Clark is an American General.

Francois Darlan and Alphonse Juin were part of the French Vichy Government. These men wanted to help Hitler.

Lloyd Frendendall is a General from the US. Not as important as Eisenhower.

Pietro Badoglio is an Italian General.

Hand- Jurgin Van Arnin was a German General. He was captured by the US and he had to go to a camp with other capture Generals. He asked to talk with Eisenhower while in this camp.

Ugo Cavellaro is an Italian General.

Albert Kesseling is a German General

George Patton is a main US general below Eisenhower. He is a main US General in African Front.

We need to know these Generals: Rommel- German, Eisenhower- US, Montgomery- British, and George Patton- US.
