Today Mr. Bruns talked about our Big Blog Topic. Mine is The Great Society- Cities. Assigned Blogs or Big Blogs as I call them are about Non Cold War items. My Big Blog needs to be about the following: 1. What is the Great Societies? 2. Then we have to look at page 690. Look at the four acts to see what they were to help the specific area that I have, which is about cities. The Blog needs to be like 3 good paragraphs or 4 good but not lengthy paragraphs. You need two pictures and at least one source. This Big Blog is due Sunday night before midnight. Mr. Bruns started talking about this whole thing like the project thing. This is super hard because it is worth 200 points. This is a really big thing that we will need and it is also because we have to research our topic and present it to the class in late April or early May. My Topic is Fidel Castro and The Bay of Pigs. Mr. Bruns told us to start soon on this project. Otherwise you will not be done in time to present. I need to know the following things about Fidel Castro and The Bay of Pigs: 1. Briefly talk about how Fidel Castro came to power 2. Tell the story of the Bay of Pigs invasion or fiasco. These are the only two things I need to talk about in this Blog. We also talked about the Decades Project. This is really weird because we have SO MANY PROJECTS to do this is so hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nick Petsche and I are going with April Taggs and Ashley Johannsen. I am so happy. I like being so happy but I get so depreciation. This Decades Project is one of three due at the end of the year. We have the 2000’s. The video needs to be 5 to 15 minutes long. The Cold War Project is not due for another two or more week. The Decades project is about a month away. It is due about 5 days before semester tests start. We have two days of Blog discussions. He is assigning this whole thing so that if people want to get done sooner rather than later they can. Nick complains too much. This is so ridiculous since Nick thinks that hanging out and doing nothing is more important than doing the assignments. He complains about not being done on time and he wonders why. So dumb that he does this. I hate it. Mr. Bruns was talking about how we should include interesting things in the time of this whole thing. We can break the decade’s project down into different groups like topic or years or any other ways you can think of. Things like Fashion changes and other important changes in SOCIETY. The decade’s project HAS to be a video. The last slide needs to be a credit slide. Up to 20 extra credit points offered for interviewing people who lived during your decade. You could easily finish this whole thing within two weeks. Tomorrow Mr. Bruns is done talking and we are going to continue our presentations.
