Today I worked on our project, because people were taking their tests.
When the year ended 38 combat submarines were stripped of arms and used for ressuplies. 20 of these were sunk in the effort. 4 fleet attack submarines were also sunk. The few offensive submarines in the area allowed the rapid buildup of US troops and material.
Meanwhile, the US navy worked on its problems with torpedoes and offensively attacked every enemy ship sighted. By the end of the war, Japanese submarines could not keep up with supplying supplies.
