talked about the Vietnam conflict we are talking about the beginning of the war and the U.S involvement the goal of the war was to stop communism. the french were defeated in 1944 in Vietnam. Ho chi minh was wealthy and smart he wanted to be like the others in Vietnam he was there leader . Geneva conference was to set up elections in 1956. the U.S and the south Vietnamese army and the Vietcong and the north Vietnamese army. we didn't want china and Russia to get involved with the war if we invaded.
