Berlin wall falling down
- Soviet Union did not want to build the wall because they thought that this was a sign of weakness
- they thought people would pick communism but no one
- people tried to escape over the wall but were shot down by all the turrets and gunners
- the whole point was to keep people in the East Berlin
- Mikhail Gorbachev comes to power in USSR gives a speech saying do what you want we will not stop you anymore
- so many people started coming to the wall with hammers and pick axes and it was slowly just destroyed

- the north invaded the the south
