Cuban Missile Crisis
• 13 day crisis
• Cubans are thinking we are going to invade them
• We can’t let nuclear missiles in Cuba its just to close
• The first official act we put a quarantine on Cuba
• Blockade Cuba
• The first thing we would do was go on air strike to take down the missiles
• And then invasion
• The compromise was that the Cubans were going to take the missiles out of Cuba and we pledge never to invade Cuba and also take out the missiles out of Turkey
Berlin Wall
• 1961 the build this wall
• The soviets assumed that the people are going to pick communism
• The soviets thought we know our side stinks so we are going to put a wall there to make you on our side
• Forcing them to stay on the soviets side
• On one side the Democratic world and on the other side you are controlled and in a Communistic world
• People tried to escape and leave but they could there was 30 ft of grass in between the wall
• Designed to keep people inside
• It fell in 1989
• Soviets Union economy was terrible
• Everything happened so fast
