Capital of Germany Berlin was split into 4 eventually the Berlin wall was built
we brought supplies into Berlin rather than war we wanted to avoid war at all cost
Russia felt like they should own Berlin
tried to starve the area until they gave in
The Red Scare
people were scared of the spread of communism
We didnt want our country to become communism
people were brought in and taught how to go into countries and take over as a communist
Joe McCarthy went around trying to point out communist
he wanted to get names

conservatives
Joseph and Robert Kennedy
they all supported him
McCarthy was saying people were communist without any proof and was stripped of all power
died 1957 from alcohol
Bay of Pigs
- Castro was Cuba's Leader who was communist
- We trained Cubans to go into Cubans and over through Castro
- it failed miserably
- Kennedy was a huge embarrassment but recovered for Cuban missile Crisis
