3-D at Home (assigned blog)

Starting this year many of the popular electronic brand names such as Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, and Vizio Inc., are going to be selling 3-D televisions, disc players, and similar items to enable people to view 3-D movies and shows from home. It took a few years for High Definition to become popular, and it might take just as long, or longer, for 3-D. A lot of people might have just purchased new High Definition televisions in 2009 and might not be willing to go out and buy another T.V.. The newer 3-D televisions are expected to cost around two hundred to three hundred dollars more than the flat-panel sets without the ability to view 3-D.Although 3-D television would be great to have at home, a lot of people wont jump to buying it. When getting ready to watch television most people don’t just want to sit around with inconvenient and uncomfortable glasses on their faces,

and might be trying to do other things around the house or conversing with family, and don’t want to sit down for a while and let there eyes adjust to 3-D. Even though there are a lot of disadvantages to it, a lot of companies are still going ahead with the plan and even making television channels just for the 3-D. Even ESPN is planning to have a soccer game in 3-D on June 11th of this year.My opinion on this is that people could probably buy a television and, in these economic times, people would be grateful for having a new way to watch movies and shows with their family and friends. While it is fun to go to the movies to sit and watch a 3-D movie, inviting everybody over to your house would be cheaper and more convenient. I can’t wait for it too come out so that I can try out this new technology.Information obtained from yahoo.
