Japan believed it necessary to destroy American powers in the Pacific. Their Navy would neutralize America with the attack on Pear Harbor. They then attacked the US air force then took ove Malayn.
After this, Japan would have a defensive perimeter.
The Tripartite Pact was signed by Japan. Germany and Italy and established the Axis Powers for WWII.

Atomic Bombs caused severe blindness and burns, Most people close to the bomb died. Snall symptoms were headaches and nausea. After effects weere cancer and keloids. The death toll was 140,000. Both cities were virtually destroyed. Debris fell for over one hour.
Soviet Union
The Treaty of Versailles resulted in the loss of land for Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union started out as a single party dictatorship. Vladmir Lenin was the ruler in 1917. They became a member of the League Of Nations in 1935. They were not allowed to join before this because of their policies of government.
Lenin died in 1924. Joseph Stalin rose to power. He wanted a Command Economy, replacing the New Economic Policy. He wanted to regain Russia's land that was lost in WWI. he signed the Non-aggression act with Hitler to gove him more time to build up an army. The 5 year plan was to increase how much stuff, food, clothing, etc. the Soviet Union could make over a period of 5 years.
They were at war with Germany and the Axis powers. The Non- aggression act split up of Poland in 1939. over 90,000 German troops at Stalingrad surrendered to the Soviet Union on January 31, 1943.
Hitler took his own life on April 20,1945 when the Soviet Troo[s were pushing through Berlin.
War ended on May 2, 1945 when they captured Berlin.
The Soviet Union was Allied with the Big 4 Powers, Soviet Union, Great Britain, United States, and France.
Russia lost over 20 million people after the war, more than any other country. They expanded their borders because they defeated Germany, Finland, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Romania.
