1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them? Italy stayed Neutral during World War I. After the Treaty of Versailles did not affect Italy stayed Neutral during World War I. After the Treaty of Versailles did not affect Italy, but they were affected by other treaties that followed the treaty. This stated Fascism.
2. What type(s) of government did this country have in the interwar years (1919-1938)? They had a Prime Minister who was elected and served 1897-1925. He resigned in 1919. He attended the Paris Peace Conference caused problems, and he left the protest in a revolt.
3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power? Fascism was introduced in 1919. The Black shirts collided with the Communists. Mussolini called upon the Black shirts fought against the communists. King Victor Emanuel thought Mussolini could keep the communists out of Italy. Nazism is a form of Fascism. The Government did not interfere with the Black Shirts fighting against the Communists in Italy. Mussolini brought himself the dictator in Italy. He was leader from 1922 to 1943. Mussolini was elected after King Victor Emanuel to give him the spot. He used his power to

5. What were the goals of the leader? He started invading other countries. He wanted to colonize in Africa to keep up with Great Britain and France. He wanted to make Italy Great Respected and Feared. He wanted to make people feel comfortable with his ways and this mad it “OK” to do. He used Communism to make Fascism seem “OK.”
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years (1919-1938)? They wanted to help Hitler and to not overrun Germany during the time after and before World War II. They wanted to keep the twin cities supplies, which were standing links to local and helpful towns, to keep the military supplied. The Italian Campaign was in and around Italy and it was from 1943 to the end of the war in Europe. Many U.S. troops fought in Italy.

9. How did WWII impact/effect the country? They lost their colonies to Germany. Government collapsed once the Germany military came into Italy. The people of Italy thought that Mussolini thought that he ran Italy into the ground. The Italian Campaign was a tough battle in Italy.

1. How did the Treaty of Versailles impact them? Japan got many Germany Islands from Germany. They got land from Germany, in which Germany got from China and instead of giving the land back to China they gave it to Japan. They also became part of the League of Nations.

They had a two part political Government and they also had to the first common person to become Prime Minister, Hara Takashi. Hirohito became emperor in 1926. They had mostly a constitutional monarchy, so Hirohito did not have to much power.
3. How did their leader, that led them throughout WWII, come to power? Hirohito was the son of Prince Yoshihito and Princess Sakado. He dad got sick with a mental illness and this caused Hirohito to become emperor. Hidaka Tajo took over power around 1940; he was the main guy who decided to bomb Pearl Harbor. They were also against war in 1927, the outlawed war. Japan was our allies in World War I. The great depression happened right as Japan invaded China. High tariffs caused Japan to be in a tough spot and they decided to take over Manchuria in China. Because of the thought economic times, they took resources because Japan had very little resources in themselves. In 1931, they had a Military Government.

The Military Leaders in Japan changed them so drastically; they invaded China after outlawing war in 1927. Hirohito let the Military leaders do what they wanted in Japan. Togo become the leader in 1941ish.
5. What were the goals of the leader? Expand their boundaries into mainland Asia. They two biggest invasions were Manchuria in China. And when they invaded the rest of China, they hated each other. The Japanese soldiers in islands off the coast of China in Korea did not get the OK to invade China, they just invaded China.
6. What was the military strategy of this country in the inter-war years (1919-1938)? They bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. They starved POW’s and the wanted resources in general and they used Chemical Resources to invade China. The Chemical Weapons were illegal, but Japan did not care, they just wanted the resources.
